The Fire

He sits in the corner, curtains drawn and lights out. Darkness smothers him, cloaking his face and shrouding his hands, a gloom cast across the room in the absence of clear sight. The crash of pots and pans in the rooms beyond are blunted, crushed, and silenced by the fusion of tranquillity and unease. He leans forward, throwing his head into his hands, choking on his own tears as they resist the urge to release. His thoughts remain muddled. He knows not what to think, to do, to say. How do you do? You seem to have stumbled upon my humble DeviantART page. Wonderful! I'm Patrick. I'm an Aussie teenager, Apple fanboy, amateur writer, fairly talentless artist, self-confessed geek and caffeine-dependent being.
